From the north, coming down the M6, M5 and M50\/M4 will take you into the heart of Cardiff. From the south and south west the approach is by <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">M5 and M4.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Parking in Cardiff is a mix of street parking payable at frequent machines, and a variety of car parks which are well sign posted.<\/p>\n<p><strong>By Rail<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cardiff is well served by the train, with the main station, Cardiff Central (CDF), in the heart of the city. It sits on the direct line to London Paddington (PAD), with frequent services taking about 2 hours to reach London.<\/p>\n<p>Cardiff Central&#8217;s station code is CDF<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalrail.co.uk\/174049.aspx\">National Rail<\/a> can help you find suitable train services to cardiff from anywhere in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>It is also connected to the north or south via services through Wales to Crewe, or by transferring at either Bristol Temple Meads or Bristol Parkway.<\/p>\n<p><strong>By Air<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cardiff-airport.com\/\">Cardiff Airport<\/a> (CWL) has several city to city links, and hundreds more international destinations via Schipol in The Netherlands. Its website provides information on getting from and to the airport to the city centre.<\/p>\n<p>Cardiff&#8217;s international airport code is CWL<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.skyscanner.net\/flights-to\/cwl\/cheap-flights-to-cardiff-airport.html\">Skyscanner<\/a> could help you find flights to Cardiff.<\/p>\n<p>Alternatively, central London is 3 hours away by road or 2 hours by train, making all the London airports a viable alternative.<\/p>\n<p>Birmingham International Airport (BHX) and Manchester (MAN) airports are also perfectly viable with links via either road or train.<\/p>\n<p><strong>By Bus<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cardiff is well served by bus companies such as <a href=\"https:\/\/uk.megabus.com\/city-guides\/cardiff\">Megabus<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stagecoachbus.com\/plan-a-journey\">StageCoach<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalexpress.com\/en\/destinations\/cardiff\">National Express<\/a>, with the bus station in the city centre, handy for walking or a short taxi ride to your destination.<\/p>\n<p><strong>By Boat<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is possible to get to Cardiff by boat &#8211;
